While Honda does not publish official top speed figures for utility ATVs, this estimate is consistent with the 518cc engine output and the vehicle’s work-focused design. 518cc Engine with Strong Low-End Power:
At the heart of the FourTrax Foreman is a tough 518cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with updated mapping that provides strong power and torque where it’s used most—in the low end and midrange—for quick acceleration, strong ascending, and excellent hauling and towing . Engine highlights include:

• OHV (Overhead Valve) configuration with two valves per cylinder for durable, low-maintenance operation
• Longitudinally mounted design that centralizes mass for optimum handling

Honda TraxLok® 4WD System:

• Speed Override mode – delivers improved performance in deep mud and other extreme terrain by allowing faster wheel speed with front differential locked

Transmission Options:
The 2021 Foreman is available with two transmission choices:

• Manual foot-shift with automatic clutch (TRX520FM1/FM2) – 5-speed with reverse
• Electric Shift Program (ESP) (TRX520FE2) – push-button 5-speed shifting with simple reverse-gear mechanism that makes shifting to reverse a one-lever, fully electric operation, particularly helpful for work such as plowing snow

Electric Power Steering (EPS):
Available on select models, EPS provides minimal steering effort—especially beneficial when front differential is locked—by adjusting for vehicle speed and the steering force being exerted by the rider . EPS also reduces kickback through the handlebar, reducing fatigue during long workdays
